A discussion of whether wearable technology like smart watches and Google Glass, is going to be just a fad or is something that will take off in the coming years. With hands-free technology rising in popularity, there were still a few apprehensions about smart watches. If you need your phone close by in order for the watch to get your notifications, it kind of defeats the purpose. Also, wearable technology is expensive, so consumers are wondering if it is worth the purchase.
With Google Glass, there were some privacy issues that were discussed. Do people know when someone is recording what they are seeing through Google Glass? Also, could this create optical problems in the future?
