As students begin to settle into the new fall semester many are looking for clubs and activities to get involved with. Some are looking for fun, others are looking for ways to hone their skills and add to their resumes. Well, here are three reasons joining the Virginia Tech chapter of Spoon University is right for you!

1. There Is A Position for Everyone

No matter what major you are in there is a position within the Spoon community that will fit your needs. The seven major job categories within the club are Writing and Editing, Digital Marketing, Video, Photography, Business Development, Event Planning and Leadership.

 2. Community

Spoon University works to build a community around everybody’s favorite thing: food! Through the Virginia Tech chapter of Spoon University, like-minded people are able to connecting over a common interest. Not only do you collaborate with students in your area but with thousands of students form other 100 universities around the world with just as big of a passion for food as you!

As a student you have access to many opportunities through joining your local chapter of Spoon University. Spoon is connected to large global companies such as BuzzFeed, MSN and Yahoo and you have the possibility of having your content publish with those companies.

 3. FOOD!

Lastly, the one thing that everybody loves is what makes this club so great. Food has a way of bringing people together that you cannot find in anything else. Spoon University is the ultimate food recourse for a college campus and provides the opportunity for you to channel your passion for food. While working with Spoon you will learn and teach others about everything having to do with food, from local restaurants to new and easy-to-follow recipes.
