In Hawthorne, Ca., Elon Musk’s Hyperloop Competition was underway. Teams from around the world competed in the competition to test their designs and create a functional, fast, and safe Hyperloop pod.
Virginia Tech’s team, Team Vhyper, tested their pod at the competition’s mile-long test track and displayed an impressive performance. Team Vhyper placed 4th during the Design Weekend competition at Texas A&M University and will have the chance to move on to the next round of the competition where they will build their prototype this summer.
A hyperloop, which is an ultra-high speed transportation system, could completely change the way we travel in the future.
Virginia Tech’s team is proud to represent Hokie Nation at such a potentially revolutionary competition.
